Truancy Steps

Step 1: 30 minute detention or Saturday school

Step 2: Saturday School

Step 3: Student meets with his/her counselor and the counselor decides the consequence.

Step 4: Student meets with an administrator and a parent conference is held.

Step 5: Student meets with administrator and the administrator decides the consequence.  Parent is contacted and/or parent conference.

Step 6: Certified letter is sent home to notify parents of 6th step truancy and additional consequences including alternative school placement.
